~ To promote the existence and welfare of the collegiate bands and to create a respect and appreciation for band activities and achievements among the listening public everywhere.

~ To provide a meaningful and worthwhile social experience for all engaged in collegiate band work, and to cooperate with other musical organizations and societies in every manner consistent with our mutual purposes and those of the institution at which chapters are located.

Service

Adopt an Avenue

Alpha Chi shares an Adopt-an-Avenue of Leroux Street in Flagstaff AZ with the Gamma Kappa Chapter of Kappa Kappa Psi. Sisters and Brothers regularly meet to pick up trash and maintain the street to the best of our ability. It allows us to not only help the NAU bands, but the greater community of Flagstaff.

Locker Room Cleanup

The Sisters of Tau Beta Sigma regularly host locker room cleanups for the School of Music. The room can get messy and acquire a lot of trash, and maintaining it creates a more positive environment. These cleanup days usually happen in conjunction with the Brothers of Gamma Kappa. 

​Other Service 
​
The Sisters of Tau Beta Sigma regularly host other service events, one popular one is helping out at the local food pantry!
